In the Church we seem to have at the moment an effort not as yet disowned by the Holy Father to destroy the concept of marriage and family life as we know it and as desired by God.

We have in this so called modernism or 'pastoral care' the need to allow abortion, artificial birth control, same sex marriage and an understanding of what once was known as 'living in sin!' All of these represent an attack on the Family.

Interestingly as an aside to this we have a man tasked by the Pope to organise the meeting of Bishops in Rome Cardinal Blase Cupich said that the Vatican sex abuse summit needs to be focused on the protection of minors, underscoring that homosexuality is not a cause of sexual abuse.

While it is important to recognise the fact that a high percentage of sex abuse involves “male on male sex abuse,” Cupich said, “homosexuality itself is not a cause.”

I then have to ask if even I agree with him if abuse on vunerable adults does not matter and should not be investigated?? On the other hand does celibacy only applies to relationships with women???

That said God gave us 10 commandments. The sixth thou shalt not kill. Seventh thou shalt not commit adultery. Tenth thou shalt not covet thy neighbours wife.

In both the old and the new testament homosexuality is described as an abomination.
